Routines that literally changed my life

I have been practicing positive thinking and gratitude for a long time now.
I remember when I made that decision to do it, firstly it didn't feel so good.
It was actually a bit annoying and a struggle as I had this feeling as if I was lying to myself.
I had a lot of different thoughts going through my mind, my ego was kicking in and trying to sabotage my efforts on regular basis.
It kept creeping in saying " common,  can't you see what the reality looks like? How can you be positive with this happening and that happening "....
But I kept my faith and my practice as something within me was telling me to stick to it.
So I did.

To be fair , it didn't take that long at all before I started feeling different.... better!
My ego wasn't so loud anymore so I didn't have this push-pull kind of feeling as strong as at the beginning.
I started flowing with it and it felt good.
Nothing major happened for first few weeks ,but I definitely felt much better.
I started handling stress better and turning negative into positve on more regular basis.
Things that bothered me a lot , became less bothering .
I kind of started getting addicted to this improved emotions so decided to practice more of it.
Morning meditation became a regular thing...quieting my mind, focusing on something not so mentally engaging like my heart beat or breathing ...just being.....
Then I added another element to my morning routine
Started creating in my mind a vision of how I want my day to look like.
I started thanking for things in advance and then getting out of my bed ,starting my day and whatever I had planned for it.
Another thing I started doing was writing a list of things that I am grateful for, each evening before bed I was (and still am) writing stuff down that I want to give my thanks to, focusing on it and getting into this good feeling place...then falling asleep feeling great.

It sounds a lot to start of with , but with a practice it just becomes a second nature.
Like with everything in life,  at first we learn techniques and ways , we focus on every bit of it and after a while , it just becomes a habit other words just natural.

I know that for many people the meditation practice on other techniques like that just sounds weird...however I cannot complement enough how valuable this practice is.

Simply for the feeling you can get from it, ie.
Ease about things, relaxed body and mind, clarity , kindness and increased feeling of connection , balance and love - this is just top of the iceberg.
There is no medicine better in this world than tunning to your own energy source.
The more I practice it , the more I get to realise how powerful and beautiful it the best part of it is : it does not cost a single penny.
And the only side effect you get from it is increased level of happiness...unconditional happiness.
